Kasco 2400VFX Solar 1/2 HP Floating Fountain
Capitalize on the unbeatable strength of Kasco products driven by the sun. This technology is easy to use and more powerful than anything on the market and is designed for use in applications spanning from farm ponds to harsh industrial environments. These patented controllers are available in solar only and solar + grid blender options. They are an all-in-one inverter and Variable Frequency Drive with maximum power point tracking designed to utilize the most solar power available.
The Kasco 2400VFX Solar Floating Aerating Fountain is a classic design great for residential applications or small farm ponds up to 1/3 acre in size. The classic Kasco “V” pattern, 5′ tall x 15′ wide will improve water quality and aesthetics of any pond.
The Kasco 2400VFX Solar Floating Fountain is available in two versions, Solar Only and Solar + Grid Blender Option.
Solar Only Option
Solar only systems use solar energy to maximize operation during daylight hours. In partial sunlight (morning and afternoon), the system will run at reduced speed extending the daily run time. These packages include the PicoCell™ 3500 Control Panel.
Solar + Grid Blender Option
These systems utilize solar power during the day and grid power at night to provide 24/7 performance. These packages include the PicoBlender™ 2500 Control Panel.
Package includes Kasco Surface Aerator, PicoCell™ 3500 or PicoBlender 2500™ Control Panel, 1 or 2 high post driven ground mount, solar panels, panel racking system, solar panel connector cables, DC disconnect and bottom screen. All units come with a float and two 50 ft. mooring lines.
US Solar Zones & Daily Run Time
Use the table and map to determine your solar zone and how many hours of run time, on average, you can expect from your Kasco unit.
Run times are annual averages. Expect 1-2 hours less in winter, 1-2 hours more in summer.
AC Grid Amps vs. Solar Radiance
The following graph shows a 2HP Kasco aerator with the solar blender option. When the sun is down, grid power keeps the unit running at full capacity. As the sun rises, you will notice the grid power diminishing and solar power taking its place. During time of cloud
coverage, grid power will give the unit the extra boost it needs to stay functioning at full capacity. Results were taken in March in Wisconsin.
