Artesian Series Oregon UPS Ground MUST be plugged in to a properly grounded and GFCI (Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter) protected 120 Volt outlet ! Pumps supplied without power cord must be hard-wired to a GFCI-protected circuit by a licenced electrician Not for use in swimming pools or salt water DO NOT SUBMERSE ! The data in the charts below was compiled using 2” pipe, 10 ft. in length.  If you use larger pipe, or have longer runs, it can increase the time required to prime. The maximum suggested operating height was the greatest height actually tested.  Higher elevations may also work depending on your layout, flow rate and the unit being used, however you would need to do your own testing.

Molded of corrosion-resistant polypropylene, Artesian pumps are ideal for applications in which the pump is positioned above the water level. An easy-open Lexan lid provides ready access to the integral strainer pot's large basket. Available in 1/8 to 1/2 HP @ 1,725 low RPM models and 1/2 to 3 HP @ 3,450 high RPM models. First is its ability to prime. To insure a reasonable prime time, position the pump no higher than the height shown in the "Maximum Recommended Suction Lift" column. Second is its ability to operate without cavitation. To avoid cavitation, position the pump no higher than the height shown in the "Maximum Suggested Operating Height" column.
