Product Characteristics PerformancePro Artesian Pro is the pump you need for your higher flow applications. It not only delivers great flow rates at useable heads, but it does so efficiently! You get the safety and convenience of self-priming along with great energy savings. For ease of use, it provides a large strainer basket, and an easy open Lexan lid. The specially designed lid and clamp ring insure a positive seal with very little o-ring wear. Available in 1/4 to 1 HP @ 1,725 low RPM models and 1/2 to 3 HP @ 3,450 high RPM models.   Key Features   Money-saving high efficiency pump and motor units Designed to operate anywhere on their performance curve Minimum recommended continuous flow rate is one gallon per minute 3" suction and discharge ports with quick disconnect unions 2" or 3" tail pieces are available for easy attachment (Note: 3" reverses to fit 2-1/2" pipe) Long-life corrosion resistant 316 stainless steel shaft seals Impeller interchangeability allows you to easily change your pump’s performance Top-of-the-line US motors All 1,725 RPM motors are totally enclosed for extra protection and long life Both pump end and motors are designed for quiet operation A 16 AWG, 8 ft. cord with 115 V plug is optional (1,725 RPM models, 1/4 HP to 1/2 HP - please order below) A 12 AWG, 8 ft. cord with 115 V plug is optional (1,725 RPM models, 3/4 HP to 1 HP and 3,450 RPM models, 1/2 HP to 1 HP - please order below) Saltwater kits are available - please order below Safety first - out of the pond pumps help protect both you and your fish from annoying and potentially dangerous oil or electrical leaks   Warranty   3-year manufacturer's limited warranty   Pump Placement When determining the placement of your Artesian pump, two factors will be influenced by its height above water level. First is its ability to prime. To insure a reasonable prime time, position the pump no higher than the height shown in the "Maximum Recommended Suction Lift" column. Second is its ability to operate without cavitation. To avoid cavitation, position the pump no higher than the height shown in the "Maximum Suggested Operating Height" column.
